My Perspective
Original post about my thoughts on carrying the BRCA mutation. Now that I’ve met with my doctors I feel like there is nothing left to do...
I'm sharing my journey after finding out that I have the BRCA mutation. Follow along for all of the emotions, updates, and decisions.
From the moment that I found out I had the mutation through the surgeries has been one of the loneliest, most difficult times of my life. I had an amazing support system, but this process forced me look at myself and my body in a way that I was not ready for and that was a solitary journey. I dealt with anger, bitterness, pain, but also joy, relief, and healing. Some posts are mundane updates while others are emotional roller coasters as I try to control the uncontrollable.
